Dillon Beach Resort
Dillon Beach Resort sits on 55 coastal acres on the Marin-Sonoma County Line, between the mouth of Tomales and the entrance to Bodega Bay. We have a General Store, the Coastal Kitchen, a nearly mile long private beach, and 28 custom made Tiny Cottages and Cabins available for rent. The historic inn, which is the building where the Coastal Kitchen and the General Store are located, was built in the late 1800s and has only changed hands three times in over 130 years.
Q & A
When was the inn at Dillon Beach Resort founded?
The inn was founded in 1888.
Can you tell us about the menu at the Coastal Kitchen and some customer favorites?
The Coastal Kitchen's menu changes seasonally, along with the produce that is available for us locally, so there is always something new! However, you can't go wrong with a classic like Fish & Chips or Clam Chowder - they are delicious, especially with the lovely view! We've also been told that our Fried Chicken Sandwich is the best ever.
How does Dillon Beach Resort enhance the guest experience given its unique location and amenities?
Being located on and a part of the same property as the only privately owned beach in California and having such a multifaceted property itself helps us to curate a unique, lovely experience for all of our guests, no matter the capacity in which they are visiting us. All of our Tiny Cottages were designed by us with TruForm Tiny, a company based in Eugene, Oregon. They reflect the same aesthetic we love here at Dillon Beach Resort. All of our appointments and furnishings are from companies and designers we love, and Crow Canyon Enamelware is no exception We are also very dog friendly, both at the beach and in our Tiny Homes.
What items do you use from Crow Canyon Home?
We use dinnerware and serving trays from the Vintage Collection in both the Coastal Kitchen and our Tiny Homes. All of our dishes from the restaurant are served on Crow Canyon Enamelware, and all of our Tiny Cottages and Cabins come stocked with the beautiful pieces as well.
What’s your favorite Crow Canyon Home design? And/or favorite item?
Our favorite design has to be the Vintage Collection, as it is a classic, familiar design with a modern take. It's so hard to pick a favorite, but I think my personal favorite is the Large Salad Bowl with the turquoise rim. It makes for a great serving ware piece or a personal bowl, so versatile! And it is the perfect size for a delicious, nutritious, filling salad.
Why is Crow Canyon enamelware a great fit for Dillon Beach Resort?
Dillon Beach Resort strives to fit into the classic and modern aesthetics simultaneously. We have coastal, minimalistic decorations and appointments at every turn on the property. Our inspiration draws from the classic farmhouse or camping style but in an elevated and sophisticated manner. Crow Canyon Enamelware fits this niche perfectly. The Vintage Collection looks like the plateware we all used to use camping in years past, and the cleanliness and sophistication of the designs pair perfectly with the beachy, calm vibe we strive to achieve. They are durable and elegant, and fit perfectly in all locations here at Dillon Beach Resort.
