Coopers Hall: Portland’s Urban Winery and Event Venue
Coopers Hall resides in a quonset hut structure built in the mid 20th century in Portland’s Central Eastside. A former auto body shop of over 10,000 square feet, there are no confines between what is now the Coopers Hall urban winery and the event space. The spacious building has two-story high ceilings and brilliant natural light that supports an abundance of plant life and creates a dreamy setting for making and photographing memories.
With multiple event spaces and full buy-out options, we have the perfect space for everything from a 20 person daytime workshop, a 50 person corporate dinner or a 200 person wedding and everything in between.
We have an additional event space, CH Northeast, located in NE Portland - it is a warm and welcoming space for wedding receptions, corporate events and community gatherings. It features a large dining room with a long bar and beautiful rose tufted banquette, an open kitchen and an outdoor patio with an urban feel. Food, beverage and hospitality at CH NE is provided exclusively by Coopers Hall.
Q & A
Where are you located?
Portland, OR
What year was it founded?
2014
What’s your specialty?
We’re known for a few things - one being that we are both a winery and an event venue. Most of the wine we produce goes into kegs and is served on tap at our two venues: Coopers Hall, CH Northeast, and at various restaurants, bars + venues in Portland and around the PNW.
Our guests RAVE about our food program - our dedicated kitchen staff creates rotating seasonal menus from locally sourced ingredients. We work with some of the best farms, farmers markets and producers in the Portland area to offer our guests a true Pacific Northwest culinary experience.
What makes your venue unique?
The building itself is unique - it’s a 10,000 sq ft quonset hut that was formerly an autobody shop. It now houses our winery and event venue.
What makes an event memorable?
We have an exceptional hospitality program at Coopers Hall - from event coordination services, to our food and beverage program, to both our kitchen and front of house staff. Even our vendors (wedding coordinators, florists, rental companies) say we’re one of their favorite venues in the city. What makes events memorable at Coopers Hall is the ease of planning and execution, so that our clients, guests and vendor partners can focus on what’s most important for the day, and those details can shine through as they were intended.
Favorite moment at a wedding (or any event)?
One of our event coordinators/wedding specialists says she loves working with the wedding couples, listening to their toasts and speeches from their friends and family and getting to hear more about them as a couple.
